Look ten years younger



You may look at yourself in the mirror and wonder where the time has gone. Your children are all grown up, they have moved out of the house and they have their lives ahead of them. This does not mean that your life is over or coming to an end. This is your time to rediscover the beauty within yourself. Whether you want to feel or look ten years younger, it can be done.

If you want to look ten years younger it has got to start from the inside if you really want to maintain it. Don’t ever wait until you end up at the doctor’s surgery before you realise the importance of a good diet. There happens to be a reason it comes so highly recommended. Eating healthily will help you maintain your health, your weight and give you beautiful skin. You don’t have to turn into a health nut, if change is not your thing then start small by drinking more water and eating more fruit, vegetables and fibre. Reduce the amount you smoke and while a bit of alcohol may be beneficial, try not to overdo it.

Exercise, exercise, exercise…will better your health, increase your energy levels, reduce stress and tone your muscles. You don’t have to embark on a frantic mission to join a gym or get a personal trainer. You can take a brisk walk or go for a jog a few days a week. If you feel you are going to get bored by that then find some fun ways to add some activity to your day. Dance to some music while cleaning the house, or better still, take up ballroom or Latin dancing just for the fun of it.

That was the inside, now for the outside. A mistake many people make as they get older is they stop introducing colour into their wardrobes. The end result is a closet of grey, black, white, beige and perhaps some navy blue. Nobody is saying you have to aim to look like each colour of the rainbow everyday, but some colour can bring out your personality, increase you confidence and lift your mood. Choose your colours based on your skin tone. With the style of your clothes you don’t have to be too conservative, but find something that flatters your figure and accentuates your best features. Another thing you may want to try to freshen up your look is getting a fresh new haircut or hairstyle. If you wear glasses, try and change them to something more modern.

You have worked hard as a mother and a wife, and now is your time to take care of yourself. Look ten years younger and have the confidence to live life the way you want. Don’t let anybody ever tell you your time has come and gone. You are beautiful… believe it.
