Online dating 'has something to offer everyone'

People over the age of 50 who believe that online dating is only for the younger generation should think again.

In an article for, online relationships expert Valerie Kostrzewa said dating sites offer something for everyone.

She said online dating subscribers come from all walks of life and pointed out that people can tailor their online dating habits to find people who enjoy similar pastimes.

This means they are more likely to find someone who shares the same interests and hence have a better chance of meeting that special someone.

However, she advised people expecting instant romance to be patient, as online dating can take time and it may take a while to get responses.

In the meantime, subscribers can boost their chances of finding love by tweaking their personal profile to make it stand out.

In a separate article for, another online relationships expert, Noreen Panizzoli, said profiles should be honest yet upbeat and should emphasise a person's positive qualities.
